CLUB AFFILIATION

WHO IS IT FOR?

Equestrian clubs that support the membership and contribute to sport development of equestrian across the country.

CRITERIA

In order to be affiliated with EA, any club or association with the exception of a) hunt clubs (see below), must meet the following National criteria: 

  1. Must be a “non for profit” organisation and incorporated under an Associations Incorporation Act or similar legislation
  2. Constitution must include among the club’s objects one or more of the following “primary purposes”: a. The conduct of competitions in one of more of the EA or FEI Disciplines. b. The breeding or exhibition of ponies or horses.
  3. On application, clubs or associations wishing to affiliate with the EA must provide: a. A copy of their constitution  b. A description of activities, including i. The nature and number of active days, especially of club events. ii. Membership numbers for the last financial year. Newly formed clubs should include existing membership numbers.
  4. Verify that the is Child Safe Guarding and a Child Safety Officer, operating under NIF Framework SA.

Hunt clubs must comply with requirements 1 and 3.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO AFFLIATE MY CLUB?

Affiliating your club is easy but there are a few things that we need to see first.

New Club Applications and club renewals can be made Online via your MyEA Portal. Renewing clubs, login through your Access MyEA portal and follow the prompts. If your club is unable to make payment via the online system you can still download the Application Form and submit manually.

Copies of the following must be provided as part of the affiliation application; 

  1. Proof of Current Incorporation. (Certificate and/or Proof of your Last Annual Statement lodged) 
  2. A copy of your Club Constitution. 
  3. A copy of Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency. (MUST be for $20,000,000 or more with a minimum of 12 months coverage) 
  4. A copy of Risk Management Policy (Recommended for all Affiliates -  Biosecurity Policy & Plan) 
  5. A description of club activities, including the nature and number of active days of club events. 
  6. A Full list of all the members of your club. 
  7. In completing this affiliation form, all clubs seeking affiliation, recognise and acknowledge that ALL affiliated events dates, regardless of discipline, must be ratified by the respective Equestrian SA Discipline Sub-Committee prior to publication or advertisement. 

Affiliations will not be finalised until all paperwork has been received and accepted by the EA State Branch office.
