Grants now open for Stronger Communities Program
Dear Members,
I am pleased to announce that Round 6 of the Stronger Communities Programme is now open, and our community has been allocated $150,000 to share among up to 20 local not-for-profit organisations or clubs for small capital works projects.
Eligible, incorporated groups can apply for grants between $2,500 and $20,000 and an exciting aspect of this round is that groups do not have to match the grant funding with their own fundraising or in-kind support, unless the applicant is a council. Local government bodies will be required to match eligible project costs dollar-for-dollar.
As in previous rounds, I will be setting up an independent committee of local community leaders to evaluate Expressions of Interest (EOI) lodged with my office and to shortlist up to 20 projects. More information about the program can be accessed here.
Expressions of Interest must be emailed to our Grants Co-ordinator [email protected] no later than 5pm on Friday, February 19, 2021. You can access the EOI form here.
For more information, contact Amelia Pink via email at [email protected] or call the Electorate Office on 8398 5566.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in our region and help communities with projects such as installing air-conditioning in town halls, building an art trail and restoring a local heritage building. It’s part of the Government’s COVID-19 economic recovery response to build resilience and make our communities better places to be.
Yours sincerely
