Nominate Database Hack
An attempt was made this afternoon to access the EA members portal “MyEA”, by inserting a large number of random 7 digit numbers. This resulted in a large number of “Forgot my password” emails being sent to EA members.
Once we became aware of the breach, we immediately blocked the attack and have now added additional security measures to avoid this type of attack in the future.
At no point was any member information accessed, nor our system breached.
Unfortunately the attempt has generated a large number of “I forgot my password” emails to EA members.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused. If you received one (or multiple) of these emails, you can safely disregard them.
